From Sunday 18th March we have service changes in Wolverhampton due to the closure of Piper's Row for Metro extension works. 

A number of routes will no longer serve Wolverhampton Bus Station and will instead terminate on Bilston Street. 

Some services will no longer use the stops they currently serve in the city centre.

Service 1 - Dudley - Tettenhall Wood 

  • Towards Dudley will no longer serve Wolverhampton Bus Station. Instead, buses will run along Lichfield Street, Fryer Street, Broad Street, Wolverhampton Ring Road, Bilston Street and St. George's Parade to Snow Hill. Customers will be able to board and alight buses on Lichfield Street, Fryer Street, St. George's Parade and Snow Hill.​
  • Towards Tettenhall will no longer serve Bilston Street or Piper's Row. Instead, buses will run along Garrick Street, Market Street, Princess Street ​(which will no longer be pedestrianised) ​and then Lichfield Street. Customers will be able to board and alight buses on Market Street outside Marks & Spencer's.​ 
  • The timetable has been completely revised.​

Service 6 - Wolverhampton - Wobaston

  • Towards Wolverhampton will change to operate directly along Lichfield Street towards Wolverhampton Bus Station and will no longer serve School Street or Cleveland Street. 
  • Buses will continue to use the Bus Station and journeys from Wolverhampton will remain unchanged.​ 
  • There will be no changes to times on either service.​

Service 10 - Wolverhampton - Perton

  • Towards Wolverhampton will change to operate directly along Lichfield Street towards Wolverhampton Bus Station and will no longer serve School Street or Cleveland Street. 
  • Buses will continue to use the Bus Station and journeys from Wolverhampton will remain unchanged.​ 
  • There will be no changes to the timetable

Service 25 - Pendeford - Wolverhampton 

  • Will no longer serve Wolverhampton Bus Station. Instead, they will terminate on Bilston Street, outside the police station (opposite the Metro stop). 
  • Customers on these services should board and alight buses on Bilston Street.​ 
  • There will be no changes to the timetable

Services 27 & 27A - Wolverhampton - Dudley 

  • Will no longer serve Wolverhampton Bus Station. Instead, they will terminate on Bilston Street, outside the police station (opposite the Metro stop). 
  • Customers on these services should board and alight buses on Bilston Street.​ 
  • There will be no changes to the timetable

Service 59 - Wolverhampton - Ashmore Park

  • Will continue use Wolverhampton Bus Station but will not be able to access Market Street to serve the stop outside Marks & Spencer's.
  • Buses on these routes will change to run directly from the bus station on to Wolverhampton Ring Road and then Wednesfield Road. 
  • Customers using the stop on Market Street should use Wolverhampton Bus Station instead.​ 
  • There will be no changes to the timetable. 

Service 79 - Wolverhampton - West Bromwich 

  • Will no longer serve Wolverhampton Bus Station. Instead, they will terminate on Bilston Street, outside the police station (opposite the Metro stop). 
  • Customers on these services should board and alight buses on Bilston Street.​ 
  • There will be no changes to the timetable. 

Service 81 - Wolverhampton - Merry Hill 

  • Will no longer serve Wolverhampton Bus Station. Instead, they will terminate on Bilston Street, outside the police station (opposite the Metro stop). 
  • Customers on these services should board and alight buses on Bilston Street.​ 
  • There will be no changes to the timetable. 

Services 82 - Wolverhampton - Bearwood 

  • Will continue to use Wolverhampton Bus Station but will not be able to serve the stop on Horseley Fields on journeys towards Walsall. 
  • Buses will continue to serve the stop at Shakespeare Street. 
  • Journeys towards Wolverhampton will be unchanged.​ 
  • There will be no changes to the timetable. 

Service 89 - Wolverhampton - Walsall

  • Will continue use Wolverhampton Bus Station but will not be able to access Market Street to serve the stop outside Marks & Spencer's.
  • Buses on these routes will change to run directly from the bus station on to Wolverhampton Ring Road and then Wednesfield Road. 
  • Customers using the stop on Market Street should use Wolverhampton Bus Station instead.​ 
  • There will be no changes to the timetable. 

Service 126 - Wolverhampton - Birmingham

  • Will no longer serve Wolverhampton Bus Station. Instead, they will terminate on Bilston Street, outside the police station (opposite the Metro stop). 
  • Customers on these services should board and alight buses on Bilston Street.​ 
  • There will be no changes to times except on Saturdays.​

Services 255 & 255A - Wolverhampton - Merry Hill 

  • Will no longer stop to drop passengers off on Bilston Street. A temporary drop off stop will be instead be located on Garrick Street for journeys towards Wolverhampton.

Services 256 - Wolverhampton - Stourbridge 

  • Will no longer stop to drop passengers off on Bilston Street. A temporary drop off stop will be instead be located on Garrick Street for journeys towards Wolverhampton.

Service 529 - Wolverhampton - Walsall

  • Will continue to use Wolverhampton Bus Station but will not be able to serve the stop on Horseley Fields on journeys towards Walsall. 
  • Buses will continue to serve the stop at Shakespeare Street. 
  • Journeys towards Wolverhampton will be unchanged.​ 
  • There will be no changes to the timetable.
