From Sunday 2nd September 2018, National Express West Midlands and Diamond Bus will work together with Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) to provide a new joint timetable on services 31 & 32 (currently known as the 301 & 302), which will carry the new West Midlands Bus branding.

The introduction of a joint timetable on these services means that in most cases, National Express West Midlands and Diamond Bus customers will be able to board the first bus that comes along.

For the most part, buses on this route will bear the new West Midlands Bus branding, with customers able to distinguish the operators by the company logos which will be visible just above the doors.

The launch of the new joint timetable marks the end of the Walsall service numbers 301 & 302, as these will be known as the 31 & 32 for both operators from this date.

These changes come a few weeks after the introduction of National Express and Diamond's joint timetable for services 42, 43 & 43A in the West Bromwich area, with newly painted vehicles now running along these routes, as pictured opposite.

Ticket Acceptance

All National Express tickets, including those purchased via our mtickets app, scratch off cards, travelcards and Network West Midlands n-passes will be accepted on all 31 & 32 buses, including those run by Diamond.

National Express tickets will also be available to buy from the driver aboard both National Express and Diamond 31 & 32 services.

Diamond Value Day and Weekly tickets will be accepted and can be bought on National Express buses, with those purchased through Diamond's mobile app also valid for use.

Diamond’s £2.50 Return ticket will be sold and accepted by both operators - please note these tickets are only valid on the 31 & 32.

Contactless & Mobile Payments

If you wish to use contactless payments on National Express services, please be aware that you will only be able to use National Express buses, as our contactless payments function differently.

When using contactless to purchase Day tickets on Diamond services, you will be issued with a ticket that can be used across both operators' 31 & 32 services – single tickets are only valid on a single journey and cannot be transferred.

Should you tap your contactless card or mobile device on buses run by both operators, please be aware that you will be charged twice.

Service Timetable:

31 & 32 Walsall to Mossley / Lower Farm

Timetable valid from from 2nd September 2018.
